Local Support Groups

Formally Hospice of the Bluegrass provides a broad range of services to individuals and families experiencing grief. Those in need are offered support, education and counseling as they work to regain a positive focus in the face of emotional upheaval.

University of Kentucky Survivors of Suicide Support Group's mission is to provide a place for those bereaved by suicide to connect with one another and receive support, comfort, and strength for the difficult grief journey. Please contact the facilitators, listed above, before attending your first meeting.

Georgetown Counseling Services is a mental health therapy practice that offers services to children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples in Scott County and surrounding areas.

GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Harmony Farm offers creative counseling for children (ages 2-18) and their families in Scott County and surrounding counties. They provide a wide range of services including grief counseling.

Grief is a powerful emotion that affects each of us at some point in our life. It can manifest itself as intense sadness, raw, terrible pain, appetite loss, sleep disturbance or an inability to concentrate. Hospice has long recognized the need to provide grief counseling and educational services about grief to Hospice families and the community. Hospice offers counseling and many support groups including Compassionate Friends and Survivors of Suicide.
