Wanda Cox Wilson, 79, widow of James R. Wilson, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016. Born in Harrison County, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Louis and Mildred Burns Cox.
A member of First United Methodist Church, she retired after 48 years of service as Vice President of Farmers Bank and Trust and was also a member of the Lioness Club.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Jean Simpson and Donna Dean (Larry) Brandenburg; brother, Louis Barnes (Lillian) Cox; sisters, Linda Rose (Gary) Tomlin and Eva Dean (Kenny) Baldwin; grandchildren, James Lancaster, Steven Lancaster, Katy Simpson, Leslie Simpson and Dakota Brandenburg; great grandchildren, Draxie Lancaster, Steven N. Lancaster, Zack Ferguson, Valerie Smith, Keisha Smith and Landon Leon; as well as her special caregiver and friend, Nina Hillstrand and Bonnie Morrison. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Jo Laytart, Barbara Jean Cox and Lois Cox.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Friday at the First United Methodist Church, conducted by Reverend Andrew Singh. Burial will follow at the Sadieville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
