Charles Wayne Tipton, 85, husband of Hennrietta Wood Tipton, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. Born in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Andy and Fannie Potts Tipton.

The former owner and leasing agent with UHAUL in Lexington, he loved to fish, follow politics and was an avid UK basketball fan. A former member of Broadway Christian Church in Lexington, he was a member of Sadieville Christian Church, was an Army veteran, but most of all, cherished time with his family.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by his daughters, Tina (Robin) Hagenbuch, Lynne Lewis, Tammy Sullivan and Angie (Mike) Pandolfo; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold, Hershel, Juanita and Andy Tipton, as well as Mildred Marshall.

Memorial services will be 1 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. David Casey and Rev. Jim Hutchinson. Burial will follow at Sadieville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time.
