Shelley Loren Willett, 40, wife of Scott Willett, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Born in Whitesburg, KY, she was the daughter of Brenda Caudill Garrett and the late Edison D. Garrett.

A former administrative assistant with Stamping Ground Elementary, Shelley fulfilled her dream as well as her love of adventure, becoming a flight attendant with American Airlines. A free spirit and kind to everyone around her, she had the ability to "love the unlovable", especially animals. With a houseful of plants, she filled her Stamping Ground home with love. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile and the effortless way she made everyone feel accepted, valued, and welcome.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter, Aubrey Willett; brothers, Brandon Garrett and Elijah Garrett.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Country Boy Brewery.
