Shelia Kay (Brey) Heifner, 60, beloved wife of Rick Heifner, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023. She was born June 19, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, daughter of the late Joseph and Priscilla Ann (Aud) Brey. Shelia was a bus monitor for the Scott County School System and she enjoyed spending time with the kids and caring for all those she met. She also enjoyed talking to her friends often, going to the tanning bed and having her nails done with her daughter April.

In addition to her husband, Shelia is survived by her son, Ricky Heifner and her daughter April Heifner; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Brey and Todd Brey; her niece, Amanda (Matt) Daniels; three nephews, Jarrett (Emilee) Brey, Wilson Brey and Jonathan (Amanda) Heifner; her great nieces and nephews, Bellamy Brey, Addison Brey, Aubrey Brey, Holden Brey, Copeland Brey, Jett Heifner and Evie Daniels; and her "grand Kitty" Bea. Besides her parents, Shelia was preceded in death by two brothers, Stevie Brey and David Brey.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 20 from 4 to 7pm at Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown, followed by visitation on Thursday, December 21 from 4 to 7pm at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro, Kentucky, where services will be held on Friday, December 22 at Noon. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
