Sarah Agnes (McCarville) McCann, 87, widow of James Thomas McCann, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022. She was born on September 15, 1935 in Monaghan, Ireland, daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ann (Tierney) McCarville.
Sarah loved to travel between the United States and Ireland, she was an avid Irish dancer and enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading and quilting. Sarah had a strong and devoted faith to the Catholic Church and The Blessed Mother. She was known as "the boss" and took care of everyone she knew and always put others before herself.
Sarah is survived by her six daughters, Debbie (Larry) Freeman, Peggy McCann, Agnes Reid, Fiona McCann, Anna (Michael) Muoio and Marie (Chris) Towey; her four sons, Tommy (Kathleen) McCann, Brian (Angela) McCann, Francis (Maggie) McCann and Jamie (Lisa) McCann; thirty grandchildren, Meghan, Teresa, Liam, Ted, Sarah, Michael, Alanna, Declan, Keith, Andy, Tara, Aaron, Brian Jr., Michael, Shane, Pearse, Aigneus, Coire, Danielle, Abbie, Kacie, Shianne, Collin, Trinity, Amelia, Niamh, Tiernan, Kienan, Joseph and Kevin; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Franz and Ellie Boylan; two brothers, Hugh (Mary) McCarville and Patrick (Kathleen) McCarville. Numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends from all over the world. In addition to her husband and parents, Sarah was preceded in death by Lorcan and three additional grandchildren; one son-in-law, John Reid.
Sarah's Celebration Of Life Service will be 11 AM Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lapeer, MI. Burial will be in the Mount Loretto Cemetery.
