Ronald Joseph Merrifield, 72, husband of Sarajane Lang Merrifield, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023. Born in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Jesse and Mary Zocklein Merrifield.

A graduate of St. Xavier High School in Louisville, he was an accomplished boxer and wrestler and later graduated from the University of Louisville with degrees in Finance and Business. A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, he served as a logistics and fleet manager with Lab Corp for many years and also served as the parts distribution manager for Xerox before that. He loved baseball, football and was a big University of Louisville fan.

In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by his son, Matthew (Stephanie) Merrifield; grandchildren, Lydia and Abagail Merrifield and Jadyn and Jaxon Staggs.
