Lt. Col. Robert N. Kendall, Jr. (USAF Retired), 90, beloved husband of the late Carole Stuart Kendall, went to his heavenly home in peace on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born in Detroit, MI, and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Bob was the son of Robert N. and Aileen VanHala Kendall. Bob and his wife, Carole, chose Georgetown as their home in 2006 because they loved the area each time they visited family here.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Lt. Col. Kendall dedicated 23 years to serving as a pilot before further sharing his passion for flight as a pilot, instructor and manager with FlightSafety International in Teterboro, NJ. His faith was central to his life, and he was a member of FOCUS Wesleyan Church where he would sit in the front row and sing out proudly and without reservation. In quieter moments, he enjoyed watching world news, participating in a small weekly bible study group, sports, reading, and solving crossword puzzles. Above all, his moments spent with family were the most treasured.
He is survived by his three daughters, Donna E. (Alan) Lareau, of Hampden, MA, Kimberly A. (John) Madden and Laura C. (Bob) DaCanto, both of Georgetown; grandchildren, Andrew James "AJ" Madden, Ryan Kendall (Marisa) Craig and Rebecca E. (Trevor) Doyon; and great grandchildren, Genevieve, Grace and Gus. In addition to his parents and wife of 65 years, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Judy Aileen Peizer.
Funeral services will be 7 PM Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastors Anton Folz and Ken Holden. Visitation will be 4 PM till service time on Thursday May 29th. The burial will be 10 AM Friday, May 30, 2025 at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to FOCUS Wesleyan Church, 115 N.
