Rita Louise Ferguson Hayes, 76, widow of Benjamin Franklin Hayes, Jr, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021. Born in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Franklin and Vida Faye Clem Ferguson.

A dedicated wife and mother, she enjoyed reading, her puzzle books and getting her day started with 60's music.

She is survived by her son, Benjamin Darnell "B.J." (Kimberly) Hayes; sister, Judy Gail (Bill) Jenkins; brother, Roy Calbert (Margery) Ferguson; grandchildren, Kameron (Mary) Yonts, Amberly Williams and Austin (Blair) Hayes; great grandchildren, Kayden and Makinley Yonts. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Ferguson and Clyde Ferguson; and sisters, Wanda Cathleen Rice and Goldie Irene Wilburn

A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM Monday at the Georgetown Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Chester Palmer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gathering Place Mission, 339 Bourbon St, Georgetown, KY 40324.
