Rickie Dean Evans, 68, husband of Rhonda Bartley Evans, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 at home. Born in Campton, He was the son of the late Hershell "OP" and Betty Jo Nickell Evans.

Raised in Frenchburg, KY, Rickie began his career as a mechanic with John Cooke, then onto Quantrell Volvo in Lexington, Kentucky, where he retired in 2016 after a 28-year career. He loved building things, the outdoors, deer hunting, and ginseng hunting. He was a member of the Living Waters Fellowship, member of the Capital City Beekeepers in Frankfort and a proud US Army veteran.

In addition to his wife of 41 years, he is survived by his son, Derick Austin Evans; sister, Pamela (John) Bonham; brothers, Hershell "Bug" (Brenda) Evans, Jr, Richard "Blue" (Bobbie Jean) Evans, Timothy (Christy) Evans and Jodey (Heather) Evans. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Freida Burton.

Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at Living Waters Fellowship (172 Gunnell Rd). Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday at Living Waters Fellowship, conducted by Bishop Darryl Gaunce. Burial will be 11:30 AM Saturday at the Georgetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Living Waters Fellowship, Bluegrass Hospice Care, Gideon's International or Disabled American Veterans.
