Richard O. "Dick" Schweitzer, 87, widower of Janice Marie Schweitzer, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born in Flushing, NY, he was the son of the late Owen Arthur and Jeannette Bilek Schweitzer.

Dick grew up in Green River, NY before coming to central Kentucky. A former counter with the Aramark division at Toyota and loved to travel with his late wife, Jan. He was a faithful member of Ss. Francis & John Parish at Cardome and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his children, Stuart Rankin (Christine) Schweitzer and Sheryl Rae "Sherry" (Arnold) Reid; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren; as well as a host of dear friends.

A memorial service will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Ss. Francis & John Catholic Church at Cardome, conducted by Rev. Linh Nguyen. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 PM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus, 806 Cincinnati Rd, Georgetown, KY 40324.
