Raymond Douglas Gilkerson, 75, husband of Ruby Mattox Gilkerson, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023. Born in Paris, KY, he was the son of the late Lola Johnson Fryman and Douglas Gilkerson.

A US Army veteran, Raymond was retired from IBM and later retired from Phoenix Trucking. He enjoyed old cars, car shows and traveling to different shows throughout the Midwest. He played softball, enjoyed watching women's softball and playing a round of golf.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Nina Edwards and Betty (Jeff) Haddix; step children, Ricky (Teresa) Florence and Melissa Florence; siblings, Sharon Lunsford, Diane (Phillip) Puckett, Darrell (Sandy) Gilkerson, Harold (Sonya) Gilkerson and Dougy Gilkerson; grandchildren, Corey Alan Corbin, Kaysee Eckles and Ashton Stacy; step grandchildren, Lane and Jessica Florence; great grandchildren, Madisyn and Maci Brown.
