Peggy Denise Aines-Strong, 65, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2025. Born in Irvine, KY, she was the daughter of Otis Edward "Ed" Aines and the late Irene White Aines.

A retired registered nurse, she spent time with Good Samaritan and St. Joseph Hospitals before her time with LifeNet. She was a member of Old Paris Road Church of God, was an avid UK fan and enjoyed old medical and old television shows.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her son, Jacob Strong; sister, Teresa Barnes; niece, Chelsea Barnes. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Billy Barnes.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Bro. Jack Whitaker. Burial will follow at the Eaton Cemetery, Clay City, KY. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lexington Humane Society.
