Calderon
Oct 18, 1939 — Feb 8, 2026
Olivia Zepeda Calderon
With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Olivia Zepeda Calderon, born October 18, 1939, in Pleasanton, Texas. She was the daughter of Ezequiel Zepeda and Anita Bazan.
Olivia was a woman of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and endless devotion to her family. She lived her life guided by her love for God and her commitment to those she cherished most. Her resilience through life's trials and her gentle, nurturing spirit left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eligio D. Calderon; her daughter, Dahlia Avalos; and her grandchildren, Heather Garza & Cory Eligio Calderon. She was also preceded in death by her parents; Ezequiel Zepeda (biological father), Anita Bazan and Marcelo Garcia; as well as her siblings, Bernabe B. Garcia Sr., Candelaria Flores, and Rosalinda Del Pui.
Olivia is survived by her loving children: Sonya Sanchez (Richard Sanchez), Richard Calderon (Regina Delgado), Orlando Calderon (Christine Calderon), and Steven Calderon; and her devoted son-in-law, Miguel Avalos, husband of her late daughter, Dahlia Avalos, who remains a loving part of our family; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren
Her home was always a place of warmth, prayer, and unconditional love. She taught her family the importance of perseverance, compassion, and trusting in God in every season of life. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing she is reunited with her loved ones and resting in eternal peace.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Ortiz Mortuary from 4pm to 8pm. Family and friends are invited to attend as we gather to honor and remember Olivia's life.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Ortiz Mortuary at 8:30am. A funeral procession will depart at 9:15 am., with burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
Forever in our hearts,
We love you, Mom
