Obituary

Norman Lee Litchfield, 84, husband of Kathryn Ann Simmons Litchfield, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Born in Upland, California, he was the son of the late Jack and Jewell Armstrong Litchfield.

A devoted family man, he prioritized time with his wife and children, modeling a life of faith and service. After serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War, he went on to become an accomplished businessman with an entrepreneurial spirit, working in real estate, development, and construction. Together with his family, he enjoyed hiking, water and snow skiing, horses, and relaxing to a good western or Louis L'Amour novel. A car enthusiast, he was well versed in building and racing cars as well as cultivating relationships with local car mechanics and dealerships. A member of Ss. Francis and John Parish, he embodied strong convictions that he was proud to share with his children and their families.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his children, Leigh (Nathan) Jarboe, Mary Kathryn (Timothy) Ollis, Christopher (Ivette Vargas) Litchfield, Peter Litchfield, John (Kristen) Litchfield, and Norman (Jacob Harris) Litchfield; sister-in-law, Romalyn Litchfield; and ten grandchildren.
