Obituary for Norma Dolores Hernandez

Norma Dolores Hernandez , age 62, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on November 8, 2025 , surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in San Antonio, Norma built a life rooted in creativity, generosity, and devotion to the people she cherished most.

Norma is survived by her loving spouse, Derrick Navarro ; her two children, Kristine Vargas and Justin Julian Aguilar, his wife Yohanna Ortiz and her six beloved grandchildren, Soledad Abbotia , Yuri tzy Rodriguez,K arla Perez, Christa Sanchez , Faith Ortiz , and Gabby Aguilar , who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her two sisters, Josephine Hernandez and Maria C. Hernandez-Blakely and her Spouse Ron Blakely. Niece Jessica Hernandez-Benavidez, her husband Ricky Benavidez and their two child Kevin and Reina Benavedez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Gabina Hernandez , whom she now joins in eternal rest.

A gifted hairstylist and teacher , Norma spent her life helping others feel beautiful, confident, and seen. Her nurturing heart, strong spirit, and creative soul were evident in everything she did, from the way she cared for her family to the thoughtful touches she brought into every space she entered.

Norma loved thrifting with her granddaughters, always turning small treasures into something special. She will forever be remembered for her warmth, her generosity, and the joy she brought into everyday life. And no one will forget her incredible mole , a recipe filled with love and tradition.

Life will never be the same without her, but the love she gave will continue to live on in all who knew her.
