Naomi Rachel Southworth, 68, wife of Jan Michael Southworth, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025. Born in Owenton and raised in in Sadieville, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Vinella Vance Wood.

Rachel enjoyed genealogy, learning about Sadieville history, was very creative and artistic while writing and drawing and enjoyed travelling in the RV with Jan. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed cuddling with her cats.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her daughter, Laura Lee Centers; sisters, Henrietta Tipton and Fran (Ron) Cegnar; grandchildren, Samuel Chase Centers and Chaslyn McRae Centers; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Bowman.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor David Casey. Burial will follow at the Sadieville Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time.
