Michael Allen Welch, 40, passed away on Wednesday October 8th, 2025. He was surrounded by many who loved and cared for him.
Michael was a "people person" with a heart of gold. A jack-of-all-trades, he was a skilled builder. Never afraid to get his hands dirty. No stranger to long days of hard work.
Michael was driven to do The Lord's work as well. Over the years Michael gained a reputation for helping anyone in need. From a simple water leak or a coat of paint, to helping build a church in Ecuador or driving a bus to transport children to church.
Michael loved antiquing, collecting, cartoons, and old TV shows. He had an eye for detail and knack for math and money.
His happy place was spending time with his family. He found great joy in providing for and protecting the people he cared about.
Michael is survived by his first love and soulmate, Whitney Monhollen Welch; Daughters Jordyn Welch and Gracelyn Welch; Sisters, Leslie Welch (Erik) Faris, Angela Welch; Devoted Brother, Robert Welch; Grandson, Daxston Adams "Homie"; Aunt, Barbara Moore; Grandmother, Ruth Welch and numerous nieces and nephews that he adored.
He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Johnny Norman. Mother, Susan (Norman) Welch. Sister, Shea Welch.
Funeral services will be private. Contact the family for further information.
Paul bearers will be: Whitney Monhollen Welch, David Lay, Austin Lay, James Pemberton, Isaac Bredburg and Ryan Casteel.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the International Mission Board at imb.org
