Marvin R. Gant, 76, husband of Anita Morrow Gant, passed away Monday, May 18, 2020. Born in Dallas, TX, he was the son of the late Grover and Effie Belle Parnell Gant.

A retired minister, Marvin served congregations for nearly 45 years, beginning with a small church in Corinth, KY while attending Georgetown College. He served churches in Montclair, CA, Mt. Pleasant, TX and Las Vegas before retiring from Harmony Christian Church in 2018. In June of 2010, he led the opening prayer on the floor of the United States Senate. He currently attended Leesburg Christian Church. He worked on the Appalachia Service Project and The Sierra Service Project for over 20 years and served as a Board Member for the Sierra Project.

In addition to his wife of 43 years, he is survived by his children, Ann LaFlaur, Sarah Gant, Stephen Gant and John (Daniela) Gant, all of Las Vegas, NV; Bradley Gant, Hopland, CA and Matthew (Teay) Gant, Olympia, WA; brother, Richard Gant, Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Max and Alex Gant.
