Maria Graciela Armijo-Roe was born in Oceanside, California to Pete and Maria Armijo on August 22, 1959.

Maria graduated in 1977. She worked for Citibank in a leadership position, where she made a lasting impact for many years. However, she spent the last 8 years as a proud and passionate employee for CHASE bank.

On October 10, 1985, Maria received the greatest gift of her life. She gave birth to her son, Joshua Michael Armijo, and her life was filled with pure joy from that moment on.

Maria met the love of her life, James Roe, and always said it was love at first sight. They spent the last 20 years enjoying every moment of the beautiful life they built together.

With her marriage to James, Maria now had a daughter Cassie Roe-Gonzalez. She was beyond happy because she knew that now, she would have a best friend for life.

Though she loved to host parties, dance to some good music, cook and bake more than anything. She took great pride in being a Grandma to her 5 grandchildren. She loved being their Mamo and always made sure they felt special, even if it was just ordinary day.

Maria will always be remembered for being a loving, selfless, compassionate and giving soul. She touched so many people in her lifetime and her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew her.

She is preceded by her parents Pete and Maria Armijo and survived by her Husband James Roe, her children Josh Armijo, Cassie Roe-Gonzalez and her husband Luis Gonzalez, her grandchildren Isaiah Gonzalez, Milynn Gonzalez, Ethyn Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez Jr., Kaleeah Gonzalez, her sisters Jessica Lynn Armijo, Rosa and her husband Adrian Morin, her sister-in-law Beverly Benham and her husband David Benham.

There will be a Memorial Service on March 27, 2025, at the Ortiz Mortuary Chapel - B from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. There will be a Chapel Service on March 27, 2025 (Thursday) at 6pm.
