Obituary

Louise Boadle Goerschler, 90, devoted wife of the late Paul S. Goerschler, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Edgewood, KY. Louise was born on June 23, 1935, in Rotan, TX to the late William T. Boadle and Mona Mae Henderson Boadle. She was raised in Big Spring, TX, graduating from Big Spring High School. She and Paul were the owners of the former Vacation Ahoy Campground in Georgetown for 10 years after retirement from his corporate career. As a long-time member of Georgetown First United Methodist Church, Louise put her faith in Jesus Christ and enjoyed singing with the choir and leading Bible studies. An avid reader, cross-stitcher and crocheter, she created beautiful works of art, as well as blankets for all her grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Louise's family were her absolute pride and joy. She is survived by her 5 children: Charlotte (John) Tofilon, South Barrington, IL; Steven Goerschler, Glen Ellyn, IL; Teresa (Bill) Hughes, Lexington, KY; Jeanette (Tim) Waits, Union, KY; and Amie (Dwayne) Humphrey, Union, KY.
