Linda Bruin Long, 75, widow David G. Long, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024. A native of Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mable Smith Bruin.

A graduate of Midway College, Linda served as a registered nurse at Georgetown Community Hospital. A member of Victory Baptist Church in Owenton, KY, she was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her brother, Charles "Jack" Bruin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David James "Jamie" Long; brothers, Bobby Bruin, David Bruin, John Bruin and Billy Bruin; sisters, Betty Devers, Sue Allen, Patsy Swift and Lily Johnson.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Ron Little. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 PM till service time on Tuesday. IN lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.

Linda enjoyed being in service to others; having a servant's heart.
