Leslie Ann Karrick Hunley passed away on July 1, 2024, due to complications following oncological surgery. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents John Robert Karrick and Anna Laura (Perry) Karrick. Also preceding Leslie in death were a grandson, Zachary Mitchell, and her beloved fury friend, Cheeto. Leslie is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Helm) Halley of Lexington, KY. Other survivors include brothers Robert (Helen) Karrick and Philip (Cindy) Karrick, grandson Aaron Mitchell, cousin/dear friend Katie (Paul) Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Leslie had an eye for women's fashion and knew how to accessorize to enhance any outfit. She was outgoing, loved to socialize, and never met a stranger. Anyone who knew Leslie knew she was outspoken, frank and honest in her manner of speaking. She was strong, courageous, and her confidence was reflected even in her license plate which read, "Queen."
