Lawrence Anthony Bruckman, 78, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at his home in Georgetown, Kentucky. A devoted husband and loved father, he lived a life rooted in love and faith. Born on May 27,1947 in Momence, Illinois.

Lawrence dedicated himself to his beloved wife of 58 years, embodying the values of perseverance and kindness. His deep study of religion reflected his lifelong search for wisdom and understanding, and his love of reading filled his days with curiosity and reflection. Lawrence's competitive and fun spirit shone brightest around the card table, where laughter, strategy, and family came together. An eager golfer, he found joy on the fairways, always hoping for "just one more round" under the open sky. He treasured time outdoors-whether walking in nature, feeling the sun on his face, or simply breathing fresh air. Lawrence had an unmatched work ethic. He spent 38 years as a railroad signalman with the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, taking pride and care in everything he did.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Price Bruckman and his children, Belinda Ann (Michael Kernan) Mendelson and Norman (Paula) Bruckman. His brother Joseph Bruckman and sisters Mary Ann Denton and Geraldine Denton. His grandchildren Sarah Grace Mendelson, Madeline (Caleb) Van Neste, Benjamin Bruckman, Olivia Bruckman, Evan Bruckman and Jace Bruckman. His great grandchild, Andrew Van Neste. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William Bruckman and Hank Bruckman and his granddaughter, Rachel Lena Mendelson.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home in Georgetown, KY.
