Kenneth E. Borror, 94, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026. Born in Indiana, he was the son of the late Claude and Dessie Borror.
After high school, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Navy and honorably served his country for 4 years, including during the Korean War.
Prior to retiring at the age of 80, he enjoyed a fulfilling career as a tool and die maker and die designer. Kenneth's life was filled with various passions. A man with a strong Christian faith, he loved his wife, family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. His favorite pastime was fishing, but he also enjoyed gardening, playing rummy and watching "Gunsmoke" and "The Andy Griffith Show."
Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Carol DeWerff and Michelle (Bob) Besten; son, Hank Borror; he loved being Papaw to Hayley (Adam) Harris, Shelley Besten, Alex (Kaylee) Besten; a great Papaw to Jacob Leath, Jr, Ginger McQuiston, Ann Marie Leath, Carter Harris, Maggie Harris and Lillie Harris. He is also survived by his brother, Ralph Borror; and sister, Jeanne Ryan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Gretchen Borror; grandson, Jacob Leath, Sr; son-in-law, David DeWerff; brothers, Ray Borror, Harold Borror and Norman Borror; sisters, Lillian Kenney and Geraldine Spoonamore.
Visitation will begin at 10 AM Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Johnson's Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Galilean Children's Home, PO Box 880, Liberty, KY 42539-0880.
