Kathleen Della Sala (Heldmann) passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on March 14,
2024, in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was born to Gene and Joan (Lydon) Heldmann, of
Maywood, NJ.

Kathy graduated from Hackensack High School in 1974. She later lived in Tomball,
Texas, before fulfilling her dream of retiring in Kentucky horse country. Her passions
included animal welfare charities and thoroughbred horse racing. When not recording
horse races, you would often find her walking the farm of Old Friends Equine, visiting
her favorite retired thoroughbreds.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Joseph; her son, Jason, of
Washington, DC; father, Gene Heldmann, of Chesapeake, VA; sisters Eileen Heldmann
(Robert) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Maureen Berney (Seth) of Chesapeake, VA.
