Obituary

Judy Elaine Gorham, 75, received her heavenly reward on Monday, July 8, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Judy was born at Carter Moore Hospital in Franklin, Ky on Monday, June 20,1949, the daughter of the late Charles Duncan Neely and Ora Mildred Adams Neely.

Judy was the church mother of Bethesda Tabernacle in Lexington, KY a role she cherished and was proud to share with anyone. She loved all her children at the church and greeted everyone with a "Mama Hug"!

Judy was an avid lover of chickens and roosters which she had spent much of her life collecting. She cherished every one of them and would often share the sentimental meaning behind each one of them. She was an excellent gardener and enjoyed tending to her flowers with much care. She retired as a line operator with Sun Products where she made many lifelong friends.
She was a wonderful Mama, Mam-Maw and friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed, and we rejoice that we will one day be reunited in Heaven.

She is survived by her children, Joshua (Pastor Joey Martin) Gorham of Lexington, KY, Jason Gorham of North Vernon, IN, Fredda (Christopher) Mansfield and Jadah Hopkins both of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by her brother, Richard (Teresa) Neely; sisters, Jennifer (Paul) Eastridge and Sherry Shoulders; as well as 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Jonathan Lane Gorham, a brother, Bryan Neely and grandparents, Clarence Thomas and Ida Bell Scott Adams.

Homegoing Celebration will be held at 6 PM (ET) Thursday, July 11, 2024, at Bethesda Tabernacle 124 E. Tiverton Way, Lexington, KY, conducted by Pastor Jason Barrett, Pastor Joey Martin and Pastor Jason Morgan. Visitation will be held at 4 PM until time of service.

Casket bearers will be Michael Booth, Alfonso "Poncho" Nogueda, Pastor Jason Morgan, Charlie Smith, Daniel Lamb and Scottie Clark. Honorary bearers will be Aaron Gibson, Peter Gemma and Scott Smith.
