Edward Roy Nelson, 70, husband of Jeannine Hughes Nelson, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. Born in Niagara Falls, Canada, he was the son of the late Henry Rudolph and Florence Baldwin Nelson.

A US Army veteran, he was retired from Ford Motor Company and had served as retired union committee man at Ford Motor Company . He was an avid sports fan, especially college basketball and football. His greatest passion was his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by his children, Jennifer (Domenico) Aversa, Macomb, MI; Edward David (Corey) Nelson, Canada and Scott Michael (Jennifer) Nelson, Georgetown; siblings, Carol Nelson, Randy (Beverly) Nelson and Norman (Christine) Nelson; grandchildren, Elizabeth & Victoria Aversa, Fraser and Madelyn Nelson, Kylie, Scott, Connor and Devany Nelson.

Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Tuesday at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 1317 US-62, Cynthiana, KY 41031.
