Jesse C. Atwood, 84, of Liberty, KY, formerly of Georgetown, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Luther and Effie Peavey Atwood.

He was retired from Johnson's Controls, enjoyed a nice hand of poker, horse racing, vegetable gardening, watching the Cincinnati Reds and UK basketball.

He is survived by his children, Lisa (Roy) Thomas, Jeffery Atwood and Dwight (Dana) Atwood, all of Georgetown; sister, Anna Mae Perry; grandchildren, Timothy Atwood, Heather Brown, Brandi Balser, Bobbie-Jo Thomas, Travis Thomas, Amanda Atwood; great grandchildren, Raelynn Atwood, River Atwood, Grayson Brown, Case Brown, Ella Mae Balser and Crystal Whitcomb. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Faye Atwood, Luther Atwood, Jr and Curtis Atwood; and his grandson, Jesse Lee Thomas.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday at Johnson's Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Crestlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1 PM til service time.
