Jenny Louise McKinney, 69, wife of Kenneth Edward "Ed" McKinney, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025. Born in Richmond, KY, she was the daughter of the late Billy Wilson and Wata Isazell Hughes Broaddus.

A graduate of Georgetown College, Jenny was a retired teacher with Scott County Public Schools. She enjoyed gardening, reading, dancing and travelling with her husband. A member of Christ Church Cathedral, she loved to sing and was a member of the Georgetown Community Singers.

In addition to her husband of 49 years, she is survived by her children, Jessica (Brad) Southworth and Gabe (Elizabeth Colon-Nelson) McKinney; sisters, Susan (Ken) Aulen and Jean Broaddus; brothers, Billy (Tina) Broaddus and Tommy (Alicia) Broaddus; grandchildren, Aubrey Southworth, Anna Kate Southworth, Jack Southworth, Will Southworth, Silas Nelson McKinney and Ama Nelson McKinney.

A celebration of live service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025 at The Journey, 2842 Leestown Rd, Midway, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgetown Community Singers or The Gathering Place Mission.
