Mr. Jefferson Mitchell "Stricky" Strickland, III, 54, completed his mission here on earth at UK Hospital, on Saturday, march 11, 2023. He was born and raised in Lexington, KY. The late Jefferson Mitchell "Strick" Strickland and Elizabeth Onita Goodman Strickland blessed this earth with Stricky on January 24, 1969.

Stricky was a graduate of Bryan Station High School, Class of '87. Stricky helped bring the greatest radio station to Lexington, KY 105.3 WTLA, as "Jam Master J", the better half of the legendary "Teenage Connection".
Stricky was formerly married to Teressa Jean Strickland and blessed the world with their two children, Jordan Edgar Strickland on August 24, 1997 and Shelby Elizbeth Strickland on March 24, 2001.

Aside from his children, his best friend, Teressa Strickland, Stricky leaves to mourn his closest friend, the other half of the "Teenage Connection", James "Jamma" Thomas; his aunts, Anne Morton, Billie Jean Underwood, Marsha Fields, Lewis Higgins and an abundance of uncles, aunts, cousins and plenty of friends.

He was a loving husband, a devoted father, amazing cook and an avid fisherman. But will always be the #1 knucklehead.

A celebration of life will be 2 PM Sunday at Johnson's Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1 PM till service time.
