Helen Jean Stewart, 85, widow of Kenneth Lee Stewart, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was born January 10, 1939 in Scott County, KY, daughter of the late Robert "Bob" and Christine Parker Emmons.
Jean was a member of Salem Church. She lived most of her adult life in Cincinnati, OH, before moving back to Scott County after the death of her loving husband of 54 years and 10 days.
She will be remembered by her sons, Danny Stewart, Georgetown, KY, David (Nilsia) Stewart, El Paso, TX and Robby(Melissa) Stewart, Gainesville, FL: grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas and Mark Stewart, all of Crofton, MD, Stephanie Stewart, Thomason Station, TN, Myrka Stewart, El Paso, TX, Gabriel and Zachry DeStanfo, Gainesville, FL; sister, Jo Doyle; brother, James William (Marguerite) Emmons; brother in law, Jimmy McFarland; sisters in law, Pat Emmons and Pauline Stewart Reinhardt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by lots of wonderful friends from all over the U.S, including special friends, Theresa Stewart (like a daughter she never had), Oudah Shteiwi (her 4th "son"), life long friend, Sue Currans Fultz; employees of Nehemiach and Salem's Sisters. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Sonny" Emmons.
A memorial service will be 1 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Salem Church, conducted by Pastor Jeff Robinson. Visitation will be 12 PM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem Church, 700 Biddle Pike, Georgetown, KY 40324.
