James "Jimmy" Naul Stone, 87, husband of Julie Stone, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024. Born in Georgetown, KY, he was the son of the late James Henry and Pauline Roberts Stone.

A former production engineer with Trane, Jimmy enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and time with his dogs. A member and former Elder with First Presbyterian Church, he was a former little league football and basketball coach, he loved high school football, following UK athletics and cherished time with his family.

In addition to his wife of 32 years, he is survived by his sons, James "Jimmy" (Beth) Stone, II, Todd (Pam) Stone, John Mark (Tobi) Stone and Mike (Melissa) Dickerson; brother-in-law, Lewis (Julia) Sublett; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Keith Stone; sister, Mary Nell Stone and brother, Billy Stone.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor John Travis and Rev. Elizabeth Stone. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Nick Houf, Josh Stewart, Trevor Dallas, Michael Stone, Brandon Offutt, Mike Dickerson, Kamren Stone and Johnathan Wilson. Honorary bearers will be Coleman Stone, Jeff Young, Mark Sinclair, Chuck Tackett, Brayden Dickerson and Gene Oakley. Visitation will be 3-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society or a charity of one's choice.
