James Robert Mitchell, 58, husband of Stacey Gibson Mitchell, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020. Born in Lexington, KY, he was the son of the late Bobby and Bonnie Cole Mitchell.

A caregiver for foster children, he enjoyed collecting Indian and eagle figurines as well as spending time on the computer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Faith Mitchell, Devin Mitchell and Chris Mitchell; step children, Chelsea Mitchell and Travis Gibson; brothers, Bobby (Kathy) Mitchell and William (Tina) Mitchell; special aunt, Lenora Jones; as well as eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 PM Thursday at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM Thursday at Johnson's Funeral Home. To abide by the regulations set forth by the state, we ask that all who attend the visitation please wear a mask and observe social distancing during the visitation.
