Harley Archie Smith, 92, husband of Susan Torosian Smith, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023. Born in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of the late Murial Grace and Albert Edward Smith.

A heavy engineer operator, he owned his own construction company, developing numerous sites throughout the northeast and Canada. He enjoyed anything mechanical, especially heavy equipment.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his daughter, Christine Anglin; daughter-in-law, Alison Smith; siblings, Allen Smith, Joan Shepherd, Mary McGrath and Florence Allen; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terrance Smith; son-in-law, L.D. Anglin; sisters, Margaret Hawes, Annabell McLean and Hilda Floyd.

Services will be private.
