Frances Lougene "Jean" Ward, 92 of Georgetown, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024. She was born October 18th, 1931 in Randolph, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost sixty-six years, Bronston Conlie Ward.
She grew up in Summer Shade, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late James Roscoe Sims and Pauline Taylor Sims. She had one brother, Mitchell Andrew Sims who also preceded her in death. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many. Jean loved to quilt and was famously known for her carrot cakes with her secret ingredient called Love. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Dennis) Weber and her son Tim (Marcie) Ward; five grandchildren, Sarah (Brian) Lantz, Will (Jennifer) Ward, Matt (Nicole) Weber, Connor Ward and Palmer (Jenna) Ward; and five great-grandchildren, James Lantz, Calvin Lantz, Liam Ward, Mila Ward and Weller Ward.
Visitation will be Monday, February 12th at Johnson's Funeral Home from 12 pm until time of service at 1 pm. A family burial will follow. Rev. Mark Neff will be officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers; Will Ward, Matt Weber, Connor Ward, Palmer Ward, James Scogin and Jesse Freeouf.
