Roy "Eugene" Warren, Jr, 71, husband of Jackie Dewes Warren, passed away, Friday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Georgetown, KY, he was the son of the late Mary Helen Parrish Towles and Roy Warren, Sr.
A retired welder and forklift operator with Trane and then Ingersoll Rand, Eugene enjoyed classic movies as well as wrestling. He loved both country and gospel music, especially sung by Conway Twitty or Elvis as well as attending car shows and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, he is survived by his special nieces, Susan Adams, Joann Walker; special nephews, Timothy Moss, Jim Turner and Jamie Hampton; half-sister, Miriam Warren; special granddaughter, Gracie Hampton; as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his half-brothers, Keith Warren and Tommy Stakelin; and grandparents, Blain & Sally Parrish as well as Floyd Warren.
A memorial service will be 6 PM Wednesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Chaplain David Blevins. Visitation will be 4 PM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
