Emma Jean Jenkins, 93, wife of the late Wilbur Jenkins, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She was born on October 13, 1932 in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late James T. Mefford and Ida Sams Mefford.

She was a 1950 graduate of Oxford High School. A woman of many trades, she was most notably known for working at Georgetown Cable Products with her late husband from 1962–1989.

She is survived by two sisters, Francis Fryman and Rose (Tommy) Curtis; her children, Joyce (Kenny) Barker, Bonnie Sebastian, Debra (Bonnie) Sherwood Jenkins, Tim (Leandra) Jenkins and Stephanie (Bradley) Covington; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Gregg, Martha Garnett, Lillian Barkley, Patsy Morris; brother, James Mefford; and grandson, Kenneth Barker, II.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor John LoBuglio. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Penny Anderson, Desmond Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Eddie Wayne Fryman, Joseph Gregg and Jeff Gregg. Honorary bearers will be Dennis Morris, Steve Wells, Johnny Day and Andy Sebastian. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care.
