Doyle "Pete" B. Glass, 88, widower of Shirley (Daniels) Glass, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He was born on March 17, 1935 in Scott County, Kentucky, son of the late Clarence Thomas Glass and Lilly Christine (Burgess) Glass. Pete graduated from Sadieville High School and was the co-captain of the basketball team. Pete served in the United States Army. He retired from IBM in purchasing and had played on the IBM baseball team for many years. Following retirement, Pete went into farming and raising cattle with his brother Gene and raised goats for a period of time. He enjoyed the country life and was a cowboy at heart. Pete enjoyed hunting, loved his dogs and had obtained his private pilot's license and enjoyed flying. Pete and Shirley were both avid UK fans.

Pete is survived by his nephew and caregivers, David W. Glass and Katherine Jordan and his nephew, Gary S. Glass; three aunts, Sylvia Doerner, Norma Glass and Mary Ann Glass. In addition to his beloved wife of forty-nine years and parents, Pete was preceded in death by his three brothers, Wayne Tracy Glass, Gene Dale Glass and Ronald Thomas Glass.

Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home from Noon until time of service at 1pm with Pastor Glenn Redmon officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be David Glass, Gary Glass, Mike Stubbs and Anthony Stubbs.
