David H. Vasquez Sr., a loving father, devoted husband, caring brother, and good friend, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, just two days before his 83rd birthday. He was born on February 3, 1943, and lived a life defined by love for his family, quiet strength, and steadfast character.

David was a man who valued family above all else. He carried himself with dignity and warmth, offering wisdom, kindness, and a reassuring presence to those around him. As a father and husband, he gave selflessly; as a brother and friend, he was loyal and dependable. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.

David is survived by his beloved daughter, Desirrè Vasquez (Pierre Jenkins) ; Herbert Vanegas (Rachel Vanegas) ; Henry Vanegas ; and Geraldine Vasquez , along with extended family and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Funeral services will be held on February 10, 2026 , at Ortiz Funeral Home , located at 3 114 Culebra Rd., San Antonio, TX 78228 . Burial will follow on February 11, 2026 , as family and loved ones gather to honor his life and say their final goodbyes.
