William Christopher "Chris" Thompson, 60, owner of WCT Services, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Born in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, he was the son of William Ray Thompson, Jr and the late Linda Diane Gossett Thompson.

An electrician, he was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and spend time on his boat. He enjoyed cooking, farming, planting flowers and time in his garden. He loved drag racing, football and was a huge Tennessee fan.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his life companion, Janice Brown; sons, Garrison Thompson and Jonathan Thompson; sister, Christa (Cory) Lovelace; nieces, Catey and Claire Lovelace; step mother, Millie Thompson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family; and his two dogs, Charley and Murphy. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Annie Gossett and paternal grandparents, William and Gladys Thompson.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday at Johnson's funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Michael Leger. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday and 11 AM till service time on Thursday.
