Carrie Elizabeth James Young, 80, widow of Davine Young, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022. Born in Winchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late Juanita Miller Bell and Benjamin Franklin James.

A former data entry specialist with the state of Kentucky, she loved to crochet, complete word searches and crossword puzzles. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.

She is survived by her children, Shelly Young, Tamara Young and Debraile Young; brothers, Kenneth (Shirley) James and Daniel Bell. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Edna Beatrice Persley and Joe James.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Thursday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Bishop Gary Lamb, Sr. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery, Stamping Ground, KY. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time.
