Carolyn McMillin, 75, wife of Bruce McMillin, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025. Born in Lexington and raised in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Geraldine Munson Grant.

Carolyn attended Georgetown College before working at First National Bank in Georgetown and later spending her career as a receptionist and secretary with Scott County Public Schools. She loved visiting the beach, reading Danielle Steele books, listening to 60's and country music as well as supporting UK and Scott County basketball. Devoted to her family, she stayed connected to family and friends by hosting family and holiday dinners, all while continuing to do her best to spoil Bruce.

In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by her sons, Lyle (Susan) McMillin, Jr, Lance (Allyson) McMillin and Luke (Joanie) McMillin; sister, Barbara (Douglas) Southworth; brother, Kenneth (Jackie) Grant, Jr; grandchildren, Maggie McMillin, Caroline & Keefer McMillin, Madilyn & Waylon McMillin, Autumn Leslie; great grandchildren, Jacarri and Kaden; as well as numerous special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Will Feland and Rachele Holmes. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Doug Southworth, Joe McMillin, Brad Southworth, Corky Grant, Jessie McMillin, Elliott Tudor, Joe McMillin, Waylon McMillin and Luke McMillin. Honorary bearers will be Pat McMillin, Jane Lucas, Margie Jones, Kathy Dorfner, Bill T. Green, Jamie McDermott, Beth Bailey, Corey Southworth, Megan Tudor, Monica Davis, Jessica Grant, Jessica Southworth, Cody Grant, Scott Davis and Dallas Blankenship. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
