Carolyn Way Gabbard, 80, widow of Walter Louis Gabbard, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Born in Fayette County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Nazzie Napier Way.

A former cashier with Wal-Mart, she enjoyed animals, dancing and listening to music, especially Elvis. She was a dedicated wife and mother and cherished her family and time with them.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Gabbard and Michael (Melissa) Gabbard; grandchildren, Jennifer Iversen, Wayne Burd, Brandon Gabbard, Michael, Robin, Cynthia and Courtney Gabbard, Samantha Glisson, Jessica Gabbard and Kim Dunn; as well numerous great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 12 PM Friday, August 29, 2025 at the Georgetown Cemetery, conducted by Chaplain David Blevins. Visitation will be 10:30 AM till 11:30 Friday at Johnson's Funeral Home.
