Carl Hinkle, Sr, 78, widower of Mary Katherine Angel Hinkle, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025. Born in Barboursville, KY, he was the son of the late Otto and Daisy Payne Hinkle.

Known for his produce and produce stand, Carl enjoyed hunting, bird watching and loved spending his weekends at a pay lake fishing for the "big one".

He is survived by his children, Kathy (Mike Tackett) Hamm, Melissa (Scott) Harrison, Kevin (Crystol) Hinkle, Carl "Junior" Hinkle, Mike Hinkle and Cory Hinkle; brothers, Terry Hinkle, Dennis (Vicki) Hinkle and Roger Hinkle; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Smallwood; brother, Ronnie Hinkle; a grandchild and great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Monday, August 25, 2025 at Johnson's Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Jeffrey Jackson. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Mike Hinkle, Kevin Hinkle, Carl "Junior" Hinkle, Zack Parker, Mike Tackett and Scott Harrison. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time on Monday.
