Bonna Gardner Covington, 90, wife of the late Earl Covington, passed away November 3, 2023. Born in Scott County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Eula Mae (Shumate) Gardner.

She retired from the BellSouth. She was a long-time member of Corinth Christian Church. Bonna adored her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She always wanted to make sure everyone was okay and taken care of.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Phillip) Sutherland and Renee Stakelin; grandchildren, Michele (Mark) Isaacs, Joshua Sutherland, James Matthew (Allie) Sutherland, and Rebecca Sutherland; great grandchildren, Andrew Isaacs, Clayton, Weston, and Coralynn Sutherland; as well as a special niece, Lisa Gifford, special friends, Jim and Martha Bersot; her goddaughter, Heather Bersot and special granddaughter, Madison McDowell.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Sue Jenkins and goddaughter, Lisa Bersot.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 8th at Johnson's Funeral Home from 11am until time of service at 1pm with Pastor Jerry Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Josh Sutherland, James Sutherland, Andrew Isaacs, Charlie Gifford, Billy Jenkins, and George Jenkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 1317 US Highway 62E, Cynthina, Kentucky 41031.
