Billy Ray Parrish, 87, widower of Georgia McFarland Parrish, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born in Georgetown, KY, he was the son of the late Blan and Sally Romans Parrish.

A former horse trainer, he trained for Frank Bradshaw, Mallard Farm and Trackside Farm. He enjoyed gardening and loved a good deal at the flea market.

He is survived by his children, Wally (Melissa) Parrish and Desley (David) Wilburn; grandchildren, Chasity Parrish, Samantha (Bobby) Courtney, Holly (CL) Courtney, Mark Traylor and Camryn Cummins; great grandchildren, Connor, Georgia, Silas and JW Courtney and Ryland Courtney. In addition to his wife and siblings, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Danielle Traylor.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday at Johnson's Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM till service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluegrass Hospice Care OR Old Friends Farm.
