Billy Howard Holden, 83, husband of Peggy Lawing Holden, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026. Born in Pine Bluff, AR, he was the son of the late Howard and Mildred Wardlaw Holden.

A former construction superintendent, Billy worked throughout the United States at different sites, building out restaurants and other businesses. He loved the water, whether spelunking, snorkeling, or skiing, and he also loved traveling, especially cruising. A gentle man with a big heart, he loved working with his hands, especially in his gardens. He was a faithful member of the Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and active volunteer at the First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown, KY.

In addition to his wife of 62 years, he is survived by his children, Tammy (Ronald) Knight, Billy H. Holden, Jr and Barton (Ron) Conboy-Holden; brothers, Donnie (Pat) Holden, Stephen (Pam) Holden; two grandchildren, Mary-Kate Knight and Rachael (Robert) Newton; and two great-grandchildren, Alice Newton and Luke Newton.

Services will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Georgetown, KY, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will be held in Memphis, TN, on a date to be determined.
