Betty Jean White Bright of Frankfort, passed away on December 27, 2021 at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late John Anders White and Ethel Baumgartner White of Louisville. She was an only child however essentially had four sets of parents as her aunts and uncles had no children of their own. They all loved her dearly. She had an extraordinarily happy upbringing. After retirement she went back to her first love of teaching and spent time in special education classrooms in elementary, middle and high schools in Frankfort. She taught up into her mid-70s.
Her love of people and their love for her cannot be overstated. She had many very close friendships throughout her life. Her friends were like siblings to her. She raised two daughters and was like a parent to countless others with the time and love that she shared. One of her greatest joys was traveling with family and friends. She was always ready for an adventure and was so fun to be with. She was particularly gifted and artistic. She enjoyed rug hooking, painting, needlework. Also she loved animals and rescuing many cats and dogs throughout her life.
She will be greatly missed as there are few people in the world who have the capacity for love and giving that Betty, our loving mother had. She is survived by her daughters Leigh Anne and Lissa, son-in-law Cory Tucker and grandchildren Leah and Aidan Tucker. A celebration of her life will be held in Frankfort summer of 2022.
