Belinda Sanchez, 63, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. She was born on April 6, 1960 in El Paso, Texas, daughter of Hortencia (Alvarado) Chamberlin and the late Francisco Sanchez. Belinda was a dedicated member of St. Peter Catholic Church and loyal staff member of Blackburn Correctional Complex where she was a Deputy Warden . She loved to meet new people and helping the inmates. Belinda enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, singing and watching Tudor era films and documentaries of all kinds of history. Belinda stayed very active in walking and loved dancing.

Belinda is survived by her two daughters, Rocio Baldwin and Melina Baldwin; her son, Edward Baldwin; her ex-husband and best friend, Johnny Douglas Baldwin; her sister, Ruthie Sanchez; three brothers, Francisco "Frankie" Sanchez Jr., Carlos "Charlie" Sanchez and Enrique "Henry" Sanchez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm at St. Peter Catholic Church followed by Mass Of Christian Burial with Father Peter Joseph officiating. Burial will be in El Paso, Texas at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Peter Catholic Church, 153 Barr Street, Lexington, Kentucky 40507.
